Before you start
Archiving should happen when active work is truly complete. It is not a shortcut for hiding unresolved records or bypassing the normal workflow.
- Confirm no normal editing or signer work is still pending.
- Verify the record has reached its intended completed state.
- Understand that archive behavior changes how the record is retrieved and reviewed later.
Follow these steps
- Open the completed record and confirm it is ready for retention-safe storage.
- Run the archive action from the governed workflow surface.
- Check that the record now appears with an archived or retained state.
- Review the history to confirm the archive event is visible and time-stamped.
Success checks
The outcome is obvious and verifiable
The record is no longer treated as active work.
The archive state is visible in the record history.
The record can still be found later through governed retrieval.
